Our family has been proudly serving Newberry, Trenton and surrounding areas for over 35 years. Dr. Andrew Nguyen faithfully provided our community quality medical care since 1984 with the opening of Andrew Nguyen, M.D., P.A. in Trenton, Florida followed by a second practice here in Newberry, Florida a few years later.

Dr. Nguyen, along with his wife, Linh Nguyen, who managed the business, emigrated from Vietnam in 1979. Dr. Nguyen graduated from Saigon Medical School in 1970, and as a physician in Vietnam, he owned and operated a private practice in Family Medicine, was the director for a rural hospital network, and the chief emergency room physician at Quang Dong Chinese Hospital. He was later promoted to acting chairman of the internal medicine department at Quang Dong Chinese Hospital. After moving to California, he worked hard for 3 years to achieve his medical license here in the US, and together he and Linh moved to Florida and built this practice from the ground up.

Their son, Nelson Nguyen, FNP-BC, is a lifelong resident of our area. He attended school in Trenton and Gainesville, attending both UF and SFC and joined the practice in 2018. He and his wife Jessica took over the practice in 2023 and continue to strive towards advancing the healthcare community in Newberry. Their two daughters, Jade and Annabelle, worked with their grandparents after school for many years throughout their middle and high school years. Annabelle recently graduated nursing school, and has returned to NFP to help provide the quality family care Andrew and Linh prided themselves on. Together our family looks forward to continuing to provide excellent medical care and service to our community for many years to come.

Dr. Nguyen sadly passed away in 2024. You can read more about his life and legacy here: [Obituary]. He is dearly missed by his family, friends and patients, but his hard work and determination have succeeded to leave a legacy that lives on and will be nurtured and continued through his son and grandchildren here in Newberry.

Hunter - Clinical Coordinator

Hunter and her boyfriend Ethan are originally from Tampa and have a dog named Oakley. She loves the beach and drinking coffee

Annabelle - Registered Nurse

Nelson’s daughter, on staff since she could answer a phone. Annabelle, who goes by AB, grew up right here in Newberry, Florida. She now lives in Gainesville with her husband and two kitties. She enjoys playing video games and spending quality time with her loved ones. She helped out in our office with Linh and Dr. Andrew ever since she was a kid and is now a registered nurse! She loves hearing the patients’ stories about her grandparents and hopes to continue providing that same care for many generations to come.

Jessica - Co-Owner, Office Manager

Nelson’s wife, on staff since 8/2018. Mom to Jade, Annabelle, Noah and Gabe; mom-in-law to David and JC; Sunny to grandson, Theodore. Furmom to 5 cats, a dog and currently 8 goats! Jessica loves gardening, interior design, yoga and reading.
